ABOUT ME

Growing up in French Louisiana, I was always a reader. But writing also played a role in my life once I began teaching as I worked with the National Writing project as a teacher and then helped to run a program as a professor. I even participated in several Nanowrimo experiences (write a novel in a month) throughout the years. However, after I retired in November 2022, I finally listened to my inner voice and challenged myself to become a published writer. ​​I always strive to learn and develop my literary style and voice, overcoming every challenge.

 

Since I now live abroad, I often use my writing to connect to my home and experiences in Louisiana. Most of the restaurants and food in my work are not fictional places, although some of them have closed. Go eat there…you will appreciate their food. Coming from a French Louisiana background, I also have the occasional French word. I plan to create a Louisiana French bookmark to highlight my most used vocabulary.
